Day 14: Wisconsin

Today we drove through most of Wisconsin.  I didn't take any pictures but imagine this scene; mile after mile of corn fields dotted with large 2 story white farmhouses, set on perfectly manicured half acre lawns, each with an even larger red barn and anywhere between 1 and 5 silos all taller than the barns.  Rolling hills, dairy cows, small areas of deciduous forest...  A very bucolic scene, just as I imagined Wisconsin. 

We got tired of driving so we decided on a whim to stop at Maplewood Meats just outside Green Bay.  Scott thought he had died and gone to heaven!  Fourteen, yes I counted them (I had time!) meat cases full of MEAT!  Needless to say 30 minutes later our freezer is full - steak tonight!  A whole smoked chicken tomorrow and bacon and smoked pork-chops and brats and...
