Day 12: Minnesota Highways

These wild asters can be found alongside the roads and highways of Minnesota.  We've seen them throughout the state.

What is unusual about this loaded log truck?

Kermit had lunch with us at Gordie's Hi-top restaurant in Cloquet.

Our first look at Lake Superior near Duluth.

Scott standing on the banks of Lake Superior near Two Harbors lighthouse.

We went to an agate beach near our campground in Two Harbors, Minnesota and met a young man who was hunting for Lake Superior agates.  I asked him all about them and he gave me several small ones he'd found - a "banded Superior", "salted atoms" and red agates.  It was really interesting...  The Internet picture is of polished Lake Superior agates!

  2. Tanner says the big one is really cool. Baby brother #5 is not here yet! He will let you know when baby arrives at the Rovey house.
