SCOTT'S SHOTS: "The Woodpile"

Talked to this guy and asked him why they don't stack their firewood.  It's all green hardwood - oak and ash.  Look at the bottom of the pile, those pieces of wood are vertical to allow the wood to dry and keep it from rotting.  He will burn this pile during the winter (about 5 cords) so why stack it.  What does a cord of wood cost?  We saw it for sale at $245.00 a cord.

We had this great idea, let's drive to Salem, only 20 miles from Concord... Saturday, two weeks before Halloween, WRONG!  Freeway was backed up at least 3 miles on every Salem exit just to get downtown.  Needless to say, we did not go to Salem, Massachusetts!

  1. Drew will love this idea for a woodpile. Maybe I won't tell him, as he cut, split and stacked the cord of Tamarack all by himself. This would be so much easier!
