KENTUCKY

The eastern landscape has now added blooming Dogwood trees beside the Redbuds.

Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area - Elk and Bison Prairie
Buffalo wallow

On the Elk and Bison Prairie the numbers are 50 elk imported from Canada and 51 bison living in an area of about 700 acres.

Scott and I thought this was funny - thinkin' ya wouldn't need a sign to tell ya the water's too deep...

Elk calf,  can you see it's collar?

The buffalo were all concentrated in one area of the reserve but we did see wallows everywhere.

This cow and 2 calves crossed the road in front of us to go to the water hole.

These bull elk stepped out of the timber onto the prairie one bull at a time!

Once across the river, Illinois is in sight!

Metropolis, Illinois
Yes!  And who knew we were this close!

Scott waiting to go up, up, up and away with Superman!

Which one is "your" Superman?

Hee-hee...

Metropolis wouldn't be complete with a statue of Lois Lane in front of the newspaper office!
