Magic Kingdom

Mickey is there to welcome everyone to the Magic Kingdom!

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom by ferry.  We're off on an exciting adventure in the wonderful world of Disney.  I'm looking forward to checking out the new rides in Fantasyland and, as always, I'll be searching for Woody!

Space Mountain

This view is from our ferry, General Joe Potter - we're almost ready to dock!

Walking under the monorail, when we leave tonight we'll ride it back to the "Villains" parking lot!

Walt Disney World Railroad Station
Mickey's face is made from flowers!  We rode the train to Frontierland and Fantasyland.

Main Street USA
Main Street USA at dusk.

Town Square Theater; we watched the Main Street Electrical Parade while dining at Tony's Town Square Restaurant.

Mickey Mouse balloons for sale...

Goofing around with Mickey!

Splash Mountain is under construction.  Look closely and you can see the men working up on the scaffolding.

Country Bear Jamboree

Big Al

Tom Sawyer Island

Liberty Square Riverboat

Scott on the riverboat - he's looking for wildlife, Indian villages, swamp shacks, and more.

Big Thunder Mountain

Enchanted Tiki Room

Pirates of the Caribbean

Jack Sparrow found the treasure!

Swiss Family Treehouse

Water system takes the water up in the treehouse to a barrel with a spout over giant clam shell.

The boys bedroom; they slept in hammocks, one above the next.  Would you want to sleep in the top hammock at the top of a tree house?

Looking down on the kitchen from above.  See the bamboo water trough?  It provides water to the kitchen and cools the refrigerator!

The refrigerator is in the background with a barrel on top, water from the trough runs down the outside to cool the food inside.  Ingenious idea!  When I was little this was my favorite "ride" at Disneyland and I still love to imagine living In this tree house.  You can find out more by reading The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann Wyss or watch the Disney movie.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin

Fantasyland - Day 2
We arrived in Fantasyland by train.

Casey Jr. Splash and Soak Station

Even though it was dusk, kids were still playing in this water area!  The temperature is 82 degrees but it cools down to 61 by the time we head home.

Cinderella's Castle

Cinderella's Castle at night; we watched Celebrate the Magic fireworks and Wishes, a movie projected on the castle.  It was very interesting, better than the fireworks!  The castle gave it depth and made the images appear 3 dimensional.

Peter Pan's Flight

It's a Small World

The Beast's Castle
Day and...

night.

Enchanted Tales with Belle
Madame de la Grande Bouche provides the costumes from her wardrobe for everyone who wants to be part of the interactive play!

Lumiere tells the story of the night Belle and Beast fell in love.

This was so much fun, plus we all got to meet Belle.  She was beautiful, gracious, and made all the children very comfortable.  The 8 year old boy who played the Beast was so cute and did a great job of roaring!

Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Mad Tea Party
Our last ride of the night and always a favorite.  Back to Main Street USA for ice cream and shopping!  Day 2, we leave the Magic Kingdom at 1:00 in the morning!  Whoa, am I ever tired...

Downtown Disney
Cinderella found her Prince Charming!  Cambria, Grandpa Bucky had his photo taken with
Cinderella just for you!

Window shopping at Downtown Disney... I want one of those!

Legoland Store
We're having a great time at Legoland, wish you were here.

The Lochness Monster swimming in the harbor!  He had 2 more humps and a tail all made of Legos and in the water.  A real bird was perched on the tip of his tail!

I found Woody!  He's made of Legos too!
