Largest Ball of Twine!

Yes!  This was one of my goals for our trip and here it is!  Just imagine one man saving twine until he has a huge ball weighing over 2 tons and 8 feet high.  Farmer Frank Stoeber did have some help from his neighbors until he donated it to his hometown of Cawker City, Kansas in 1961.  Today, anyone can add to his ball of twine.

This painted sidewalk leads you to the ball of twine!

Yah, we found it!

This marker sits next to the ball of twine - the land was once the homestead of J. Gledhill.
